This three-stage project is set to confront an expected tidal wave of PTSD by preventing the development of PTSD among traumatized at-risk young individuals, via a novel low-cost, scalable intervention that enhances flexible coping. Stage 1 develops and tests the efficacy of a flexible coping intervention in a controlled laboratory setting. Stage 2 tests the assimilation of the intervention among therapists and their at-risk patients in a real-world clinical setting. Stage 3 tests the usability of a self-guided App version of the flexible coping intervention to at-risk individuals.
